The Extraordinary Bungoeng Naleung Bush Plant
Assalamualaikum.Wr.Wb
Hello beloved Steemit-Garden friends wherever you are and how are you tonight? I hope all of you are well. And then I really wish you all to live a healthy life and continue to take care of your health! I want to say that I have rarely been active all this time because I am rarely online and my internet quota is very low, so let me take this opportunity, I want to share a little insight about ...Bungoeng Naleung...
This plant also loses its flower petals easily, so we rarely encounter this plant with beautiful flowers, because of that people will not care for this one plant, because this plant can become a shrub that can disturb the garden.
Bungoeng naleung also known as "Crocanthemum and Carolina rockrose" is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cistaceae. These shrubs are native to North and South America where they are widespread throughout the world.
Bungoeng naleung is drought tolerant, and perennial. This shrub is often found in sandy fields, cemeteries, along roadsides and in open pine forests. the flowers of this shrub have five bright yellow petals, numerous stamens, and a 3-lobed style.
Lateral branches extend on or after the first round of flowering and produce self-pollinating (cleistogamous) flowers that appear late in the rainy season.
The common name Bungoeng naleung relates to the ice crystals that form from the sap that oozes out of cracks near the base of the stems in late autumn.
Bungoeng naleung is not a strong competitor, but has developed a unique survival strategy that involves resistance to the dangers of sunlight. The seeds are sown in the soil during the growing season, but do not germinate the following season. Because the hard seed coat is impermeable to water, the seeds remain dormant in the soil for long periods of time. Together with their small seed size, seed dormancy allows Bungoeng naleung populations to form large seed banks. the seed coat softens or cracks from the hot sun, and the surviving seeds germinate soon after.
This mechanism allows Bungoeng naleung and other members of the Cistaceae family to produce large numbers of young plants simultaneously and at the right time, thereby helping them to gain an important advantage over other plants in the process of replenishing the area.
okay, that's all from me about bungoeng naleung, hopefully it can provide insight and benefits for all plant lovers. I will continue my discussion at the next meeting. greetings from me, and goodbye and see you in the next useful post. Goodbye. See you soon 👋👋👋
