Stress is when someone is experiencing a physical or emotional imbalance. Long-term stress can cause health issues, and stress often occurs when we experience something new or an event or situation for which we are not ready.


What do you do to stay balanced in times of stress?

Stress is something that we experience daily, either at work, home, in traffic, etc. When I am stressed, these are things that I do to stay balanced.

Enough sleep: after a very long and stressful day at my place of primary assignment, I always come back home to prepare a lesson plan for my students for like four different classes afterwards, and I go into the kitchen to prepare food for myself that I am going to eat. These things really stress me out, so what I do to stay balanced is to have enough sleep. I have to sleep for some hours; this helps me to regain my balance and strength. This happens to me every time I am stressed out.

Eat healthy food: when I am stressed out, I go to a cool place, like a resort or a hotel, to relax and spend some quality time there. I chill and order some quality food and soft drinks and eat. Sometime when I don't want to go out, I order food in or cook the food myself. This is one of the ways that I get my balance when I am stressed out.

Listening to music, whenever I am stressed I listen to to music. Music help to calm my nerves system I do listen to music from my favorite artists like Celine Dion, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Wizkid, to mention a few. Music helps me to stay stress-free and to regain my balance when I am stressed.

Exercise: One of the things I do when I'm stressed out is exercise my body. It helps to keep my body in shape and restore my body's imbalance. High-intensity exercise like football can only increase stress, but low-intensity exercise like yoga or swimming always serves as a good remedy for stress.


Three main reasons behind our stress

Illness when someone is sick he or she passes through so much emotional and physical stress. I remember last year when I felt sick and I was admitted to the hospital where I stayed for some months. I was not able to move and I felt so stressed and pained.

Debt: When you borrow money from a friend, a business partner, or a bank, the person will be disturbed, especially if it is a huge amount of money that you can pay back easily.
The frequent visits and calls from the person will surely cause you some sleepless nights, thereby resulting in stress.

Overthinking . Thinking too much about life, money, school fees, or what children will eat causes emotional and physical stress or breakdown, so we have to do well not to overthink ourselves into depression, but instead we should talk to our friends or loved ones who may be able to help out.


Do you think we should now take this problem seriously? If so, describe why .

Yes, we should take stress very seriously because anything that makes us uncomfortable or inconvenient is a serious problem. No one will say that he or she has never been stressed, whether he or she is poor or rich.

So we must do everything possible to evict stress as fast as we can so as to prevent it from turning into something more serious. When we are stressed out and we don't find a way to reduce it or balance our body system, it may turn into an illness like a headache or stomach ache, and it may even land some in the hospital.

In fact, we should do our possible best to avoid stress entirely. We should be able to plan and strategize things that we want to do daily to avoid conflicting with each other and being stressed out.
