Reasons behind the smartphones winning the war against Laptops

With the ever increasing demand for the smartphone in the general public and international market, one can say that sooner or later the smartphone will replace 70% of laptops & desktops which were initially given the acronym of PC in the late 19th century up until the explosion of the smartphone in 2013 which rose up beyond all expectations in the international market.

Now fellow steemian what do you feel contributed to the steady rise of the smartphone industry over the laptop companies. Although there are many contributing factors why such a thing happened and will keep happening thereby keep creating a wider margin between the two companies steadily , While the apple ios and google andriod keep ruling the technology gadgets market.

1) Design
As the smartphone being a fifth generation PC, it became highly recognized by buyers and users world wide simply because of its size. People in the world choose to settle for a 5 inch device which fits properly in their pocket not also forgetting it's lightweight than for a 12,14,15 inch laptop which cannot be carried about easily like its market counterpart.

2) Optimization*
Yup smartphone's have been better optimized for various tasks far more than the laptops. Take for instance smartphones come with proximity sensors, fingerprint scanners , GPS and lots more features on daily bases. In recent times we have seen androids that run windows o.s because of its optimization in RAM, Processor, e.t.c

3) Affordability
An average android smartphone costs from a range of $35 and above while that of a laptop from a range of $100. So the smartphone device can virtually be afforded by people from various works of life .

4) Usage
Many persons find it difficult to use an average windows xp O.S laptop or desktop, so they pay people to teach them on how to operate them.But the case of the smartphones is different as its understood far easier than the laptops because of its understandable & friendly user interface.

5) Personal and business use
The smartphone is used easily to Google up things, send mails, chat on social medias and do much more at the touch of a screen from any where in the world. The business class people ranging from the banks to the government are not left behind in this also as they can easily voice call, video chat and send documents at their own convenience and not sit in front of the laptop all day.

Still with this things the smartphones are doing they are yet to take over Gaming, Graphics editing, Video editing, Skyping, Teleconferencing and few others which the laptop because of its size has been known as still the leading king in these aspects for years now.
