OCD DAILY - Issue #352

Welcome to the 352nd issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #352 highlights content from ten (10) Steem Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steem to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators found ten (10) new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Steem users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience and intends to showcase Steem users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.

The @OCD nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work, give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is universally appreciated and valued by our curators making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Our top nomination of the day is from @verhp11

I always have the utmost respect for those who died fighting to protect the country, and it's important that the younger generation learn about the past and are taught to respect it. That's exactly what @verhp11 did. He took his kids to the Sarosota National Cemetry in Florida so his kids could learn about war and death. Afterwards, they did something more relaxing and went to the Imaginarium. Here the kids can see all sorts of educational exhibits, and see some interesting reptiles. Sounds like they all enjoyed their day out.

Our next nomination of the day is from @josevallera

@josevallera brings us an Electronic Mandolin version of “Wind of Change” which originated from the rock band Scorpions.
He talks about the background story of the song. The song encourages him to survive the difficulties his family and country encounter and look forward to a better future.
His mandolin performance is so beautiful, no fancy accompaniment, only sincerity.

Our next nomination of the day is from @soundlegion

Musicians @soundlegion and @wav-dr have come together to collaborate on a number of projects now. Together they are now known as Wav-Legion. For this just released song titled, "Sin," they brought in a third collaborator, Street Artist @justcuriousg to make a really cool video to go along with the song. They do music in a variety of genres, so be sure to check out some of their other work as well. They can be found right here on Steem and related sites like Dtube and Dsound, but also on outlets like Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, and Choon.

Our next nomination of the day is from @morangallery

Pat Moran brings us a gorgeous post in which he talked about his experiences when he participated in a festival called SoulPlay. It was a unique event where the festival was offering more classes and workshops instead of live music and events. Pat attended one meditation class, and he said that it was a deep and intense spiritual experience. In the post, he illustrated his encounters at the festival, the people he met and the class he attended, in drawings done in ink. And he also presents his new painting which he begun at the festival. Warning for artistic nudity in the post, but if you’d like to witness an established artist who travels the world to attend events and exhibit his works, this is a great post to check out : )

Our next nomination of the day is from @free-reign

What’s the embodiment of the “perfect soldier”? The Supernumerary. @free-reign shares a story from his army times that involves some serious boot polishing and uniform starching! Tryhard? Anything for the night off that comes with being the Supernumerary, but what happens if you make the Supernumerary five times in a row and how easy can it actually be? Find out more in this fun story!

Our next nomination of the day is from @elitaforce

@elitaforce is a cat lover, and in this blog the author shares details about her two beloved cats Luffy and Pami, and explains how it is living with the feline duo. Luffy is a smart cat, Puffy is an angel, and together they are cute, sweet, lovable and make @elitaforce very happy.

Our next nomination of the day is from @skyblues

Even tho it is beautiful, bit grainy but beautiful, the Moon photo is not the point of this post - but this awesome cover of Jimi Hendrix. @skyblues really smashed this one. Amazing performance!

Our next nomination of the day is from @nateonsteemit

Homesteading and animal husbandry isn't as easy as you might think it is. In this post @nateonsteemit lays out his problem and attempt to find a solution to his chicken problem which apparently a little bit more complex than just "put them in a cage". Find out the options and the final solution to it. Who knows it might as well help you when you run into similar problem.

Our final nomination of the day is from @ten-years-before

@ten-years-before was Japan for a holiday and he made a really nice detailed video of Sumiyoshi-Taisha in Osaka. From the moment he stepped off the train to visiting the shrine, he took us around like the way he saw it. The video was very interesting and it was great to see such detail and work put together of this beautiful shrine.
