Sunday Purple: Oniony Plant

Having established that few people want to read technical articles written by me, no matter how green they are, I decided to avoid anything remotely engineery for now and post about a plant.

You do like flowers, don't you? Good. I found this nice purple flower yesterday in the forest:

I don't know what it is, but by the looks of it I think it is something in the oniony/garlicky/chivesy category:

Which reminds me: we found quite a lot of garlic root (Alliaria petiolata), look-zonder-look in Dutch, and ramson aka wood garlic (Allium ursinum), daslook in Dutch, in the forest.

We picked some leaves of both to make a pesto; judging from the taste of the leaves I ate raw on the spot, it should be good. Another tasting bonus: I didn't get sick or die, so we got the right leaves; there are species with very similar leaves that are poisonous.
