Third Generation
Some species of butterfly seem to be around for months on end, but often what you are seeing are several overlapping generations.
The small coppers (Lycaena phlaeas), vuurvlindertjes in Dutch, that are flying about in The Netherlands at the moment are of the third brood of this year.
They are visiting what flowers are still left:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/1000s
Some are just sitting about in the sun, looking like they own the place:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO160, f5.6, 1/500s
That last one is sitting on a very peculiar plant; I don't know what it is.
Thanks for watching!
