Just another manic Monday!

Looks like I'm not the only one to be getting back into the swing of things, now that Christmas break is over - my feed has been crazy this morning! So, for those of you like me, who were consumed with all the chaos of the holidays, family commitments, etc. welcome back! I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine. This morning was the start of the regular school day business, and little miss and I got busy in the kitchen. I'll be sure to share a post about our efforts in the next day or 2. 😊

As for the ol' blog, to start things off right, last night I got back into my SKETCHY SUNDAY series, where I share some unfinished drawings from my sketchbook. Today, I'm going to share a new finished drawing. I actually drew her up a while ago, but just added the coloring a few days ago, when I wanted to try out my brand new set of Prismacolors that hubs got me for xmas. I wasn't in the mood to draw, just wanted to break in these new beauties, and I recalled I had a drawing all inked, waiting for a little more love.

I think I'd like to get my hands on a white gel/paint pen, and go over a few of the details, but I'm calling her done for now.

Actually, this piece really makes me want to get back into digital painting... I have an image in my head of what I want to do with this, and that's the only way it's going to happen. I wonder if I still have that old Wacom tablet packed away in a box somewhere.....

It feels good to be getting back to doing some art. It's only been a couple weeks, but I've missed it. I'm going to sit down later today and try to sketch out a few more ideas, so I can get started on a new big piece. I have a few ideas floating around, so maybe I'll even work on a few at a time.

What are you looking forward to, now that the holidays are over and we're returning to the regular grind? Do you have any projects in mind? Or are you already working on something?
