All eggs in one basket???

Is it better to focus on one thing and be a master at it, or to do several things because you do not know which would turn out more successful?

I have always been a disciple of all eggs in one basket because I really can not stand doing a lot of things at the same time. I have noticed that trying to do so makes me lose track of almost everything.

However, focusing on just one thing could be risky if it finally did not turn out successful.

What are your thoughts on this?
