Presentation of a book #1 Literature The return of the Malaysian tigers
The Return of the Malaysian Tigers
More anti-imperialists than ever
Today I will tell you about a great book, but especially of a great author.
Paco Ignacio Taibo II, the famous Mexican activist writer, takes up the characters, Emilio Salgari's leaping style and follows the adventures of Sandokan. Now about sixty years old, but always green and resourceful, with the crew of the Mentirosa, they have to thwart a plot animated by none other than the infamous Professor Moriarty - the implacable opponent of Sherlock Holmes! - decided to create a commercial-slave trade empire in the middle of Borneo.
From the Philippines to Sumatra, all the (wonderful) clichés of the genre go by: shipwrecks, cannonades, escapes and rescues in-extremis. Old Shatterhand, another hero of popular (German) novels, confirms that the Gentiles are diabolical agility with a rifle, while the wicked are capitalist and do not know how to fight.
