Village is always special to me! Fresh air, familiar surroundings bring a kind of peace to the mind. The villages of Bangladesh are green and you will be amazed by its natural beauty.

I live in a village so I see different aspects of the village in different seasons.

---

I recall walking barefoot in the mornings when I was a kid. In our village we can see dew drops on the grass until the end of February. May be seen till first half of March. But there is no chance of seeing a dew point on the grass in April!

---

Due to the change in weather, the village can now see fog and dew even in summer! I read about global warming in novels as a youngster, and now I can really see it. The sudden change in the weather surprised me. It's astonishing that not everyone is aware of global warming.

According to the Bengali calendar, the month of Baisakh will be hot. But even in this summer it is cold in the morning in the village which is not good at all. The temperature during the day is more than 35 degrees and the morning is cold! A mix of summer and winter!

Although the river Ichamati was a branch, its roar was terrible. In summer he loses his youth and turns into a desert and in monsoon he regains his youth and assumes his former form. This was not the case previously. This is occurring as a consequence of the rapidly altering environment.

Monsoon has started so the work has increased. The bank of the river is breaking, so work is going on to prevent river erosion.

Although everything seems normal except for the heat waves of the day and the coolness of the morning, people are getting sick in this weather.

Because the environment has given us more than we truly deserve, we will all be more giving to it. It's time to pay back by lowering carbon dioxide levels, purifying the air and water, growing more trees, cutting down on trash, and putting money into renewable energy sources.

Let us hope for a better future for our future generations and start with us leading it.
