Hello great steemians in this great community, how are you all, hope you are doing great, after introducing myself to this great community, I'm here once again to continue the next achievement task(acheivement 2)which is about security in steemit.
In this task I will be answering the following questions

One may ask what is Security. In a short definition, Security is simply the state of being free from danger. Everyone ought to have security so we don't lose valuable things.
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit
I have retrieved all my keys by downloading the keys on PDF, I also copied them to my email in case I lost my device.
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Steemit as a body initiated 5 keys known as permission keys. These keys protects the account of steemit users. With the help of my friends who have been steemians for a long time, they lectured me on the different keys and their functions, I will be giving a brief explanation on them.
- Posting key
- Active key
- Master key
- Owner key
- Memo key
POSTING KEY: it is majorly used in posting and it enables you also to downvote(remove a post's reward) or upvote(rewarding) a post.
ACTIVE KEY: this key enables you do transactions like transferring of steem token, conversion of SBD to steem, powering up and other related ones.
MASTER KEY: this key Surpasses all other keys in Steemit because through it you can recover other keys when being misplaced.
OWNER KEY: this key makes you have access to everything on your account.
MEMO KEY: majorly used to encrypt(encoding) and decrypt(decoding)Information in the platform.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
To secure your master key, after opening an account, You are going to see a PDF containing all your keys. Copy and save on your email.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Below are few steps used in transferring steem token
- Click on the Icon at the top of your home page, you will see options like post, comments, wallet, etc, click on the wallet options.
- A page will appear, the first thing you will see is your STEEM balance, click on it and options will appear
- click the transfer option.
- Another page will display, where spaces are provided, you can fill in the username and also the amount of steem you wish to transfer depending on your balance.
Do you know how to power up your steem
*To power up my liquid steem ,i go to wallet, tap the options on my steem balance, I saw powerup option, and then i click on power up.
- Boxes are provided where I filled in the amount of steem i want to power up.
