Liverpool Ran Riot.

We were expected to watch a football match but we were treated to an exhibition by Liverpool. They went all aggressive and goal thirsty against Crystal Palace.

They took full advantage of the 3 points lead they have over Tottenham when they scored in the last minute of that match. Now, they have stretched their lead over second-placed Tottenham to 6 points, even though Liverpool played a game more.

Crystal Palace should have taken advantage of their early change when Ayew found himself at the edge of the box. He tricked his way in and with the goal begging at his mercy, he missed his pass for the onrushing Zaha. He could have gone for the goal himself but he chose to pass. The pass was just behind Zaha who couldn't hide his frustration by lying on the floor. That miss alone was the undoing of Crystal Palace as Liverpool gathered themselves and came all flying out.

7 goals without a reply. They did it with a devastating effect as Salah who got two goals after coming in as a substitute for just 30 minutes. He came in for Mane that was taken off. Mane didn't take it well because he fancied he could have scored more in this game as he scored the second goal of the match.

Henderson scored the fourth with a lovely ball from Arnold. The pick for me would be Salah's second goal of the day. What a goal that was. Done to perfection, leaving the keeper with no chance of saving it at all.

Liverpool went marching on leaving Crystal Palace with more questions than answers. This is the performance expected of a champion and Liverpool fitted into that bill so well. They need as many points as they can gather in this form.

On to Southampton and Manchester City. I am tipping City to win though but we know City have been struggling to score this season. Fingers crossed as we can see how this season has been full of surprises.

Thank you for your time.

It was a festival of goals, thanks to Liverpool
As for City, their game still didn't convince me even though they played against a good team

Very true. Liverpool thrashed their opponents and City game still looked unconvincing to me. They are not quite in their game yet. United played beautiful attacking football yesterday too and it could have been more.
