The Fisherman's Prayer.
At first cock-crow
he is up, ready for the day's work
His hook, line and sinker
are perfectly straddled in his keep
as he walks to his ever-ready boat
Prayers in mouth and mind
he makes a plea with mother nature
the providence and the sea lord
that they may grant him
food for his table and money for his pocket
Only when his basket is filled
can he be greeted with a smile
Only when his hook constantly bring the prey up
can he avoid this looming doom
I say a prayer for the fishermen and their hooks
may their basket be filled for their homecoming...

Al leer su escrito vino a mi memoria un pasaje bíblico referente a los discípulos de Jesús cuando estaban pescando y no habían logrado atrapar ninguno, y solo cuando Jesús le dijo que lanzaran las redes hacia un determinado lugar fue cuando extrajeron una enorme cantidad. Aparte de la oración que hizo el pescador, ¡cuántos en la actualidad aplaudimos aquellos milagros?…No tardarán los tiempos en tener sobreabundancia de alimentos hasta en las cimas de las montañas para los que atesoran obedecer regidos por la palabra de Dios, “está escrito”.
