United Are Through
You know the true test and strength of a team by its ability to bounce back after a defeat. Defeat has a way of dampening the mood in a team and sometimes it is hard to pick up. You see some team lose and the losing streak continues, while some will win few games in a row and then the winning streak will give them the needed motivation to grind out results and you might see some too that once they lose a match, the mood in the camp will be sour.
The ability to pick up after a defeat is a true strength and the overall mood of a team. Manchester United proved their mettle against a Chelsea team that just got dubbed by 6 goals to nothing when they played against Manchester City a few weeks ago. Manchester United also just got beaten by Paris Saint Germaine (PSG) a few days ago too but it was obvious one thing showed the mood in the camp better than the other.
Manchester United won Chelsea by 2 goals to nothing and the mood got lifted even more. Chelsea tried to break the resilient defence of Manchester United but they couldn’t and maybe they ran out of ideas too. They were hit many times on the break and if not for timely intervention, the goals should have been more than that, but that is not to take away from the efforts of Chelsea and some of which were snuffed out by the impressive Sergio Romero.
This would in no way lift the mood of Chelsea players and even the fans and you could see the disappointment on the faces of the players because they wish they could give more, and the fans; because some even left before the final whistle was blown.
It will be seen in the next few matches how they can pick themselves up after yet another blip, now that they are already out of the F.A Cup.
