Lanre lived with his parents in a small town called Iluwale. He was twelve years old and he attended a community secondary school. He was a very good boy and his parents always told him to be good and responsible. He never did anything wrong as he made efforts to be good and nice to everyone.

He respected his elders and was good with his mates. Everyone knew him as a good boy and many parents advised their children to always emulate him.
Lanre was always helping elders whenever he saw them carrying loads, and that really made parents love him.

Even in school, his teachers liked him because he was very attentive and he was a good and brilliant boy. He never did anything to cause trouble to anyone.

One day, a new boy came to school and his name was Tobi.From the first day, he was placed to sit on the same desk with Lanre and as such, they became close friends. Lanre however noticed something about Tunde which was the fact that he was not a serious student in school. He was hardly attentive in class and was always sneaking out of class.
