Are You New To The Business World? Regularly Get Prepared to Rise Against Competition.

The life of a business owner is a highly competitive one, it is one where you always have someone who has a similar idea with the one you are already working on, or someone whose idea might bring you down, it is not funny because some of these competitors even have better financial advantages and they are ready to walk you out of the business line at any time.

There was a time I was going completely broke and I needed a fast solution to save my business, I looked all around for help and the next thing I saw was that the woman whose store was close to mine, started selling the same thing I was selling, I was broken and I cried for days because at that point I did not even have the money to keep up with the competition, I was losing my customers and I was gradually becoming a shadow of myself thinking I will eventually lose all I have worked hard to build until I became too ill to even go out. But there was a mistake I made, I learnt that from a book recently and the mistake is that, I focused more on my competitor than my customers.

There is no way competition can be avoided in business, it is everywhere and for someone like me, I did not expect competition from a close person because I do not even have the nerve to do the same, but now I understand that even your faithful employee can become your competitor later. Placing our attention on the person or on the business we are competing with, is what makes us begin to feel less adequate to meet up with demands. Instead of beating yourself too hard over a new competitor, focus more on those you are serving (your customers).

Ask your customers if there is any way they will like you to serve them better, understand their needs and look for ways to improve your services, you will be so caught up in satisfying their needs that you will not even be worried about someone competing with you.

Another thing to always put into consideration is that: Every business idea is opened to competition, I was not ready for a competition as a matter of fact, I never thought that my next door neighbor would be the one to compete with me, besides I was still struggling with gaining financial stability that I did not bother to worry about a rising competition, but now I know better, I understand that every business should always get ready for competition and should regularly prepare to win.
