HOW TO DEFINE STEEMIT TO A LESS-EDUCATED NIGERIAN- IT IS NEVER A GET RICH QUICK PLATFORM
A get rich quick scheme requires you to put in money and watch it multiply exponentially in a very short period with no reasonable investment tracking...
Without any reasonable doubts, user sustainance and user retention is now very paramount as we edge closer to going mainstream. Although, many mechnism are been put in place to make this possible in a short while; getting more users onboard before then is the major vocal point.
Time and date for this dream to become reality is not certain, known only to Steemit Inc.; but before and after then, how we paint Steemit to the people we are trying to bring on board remains a very delicate task for every Steemian.
This Task starts when we introduce Steemit to the new/potential Steemian without making it seem like a "Get Rich Quick Scheme".
Problem:
In Nigeria, too many instant enrichment scheme had come, messed citizens up and brainwashed this millions. This makes it a more complex and delicate endeavour to explain the Blockchain and Steemit to this non educated and less informed individuals we meer day in day out.
Logical Solution:
Proper Orientation of potential Users
The assignment before us all is to adequately senitize this new bunch of interested people ready to signup and try Steemit on erasing the notion of getting Rich quick via using the blockchain website.
My own way of explaining steemit to someone without raising their hopes too much is that, Steemit is place where your little ideas counts and is rewarded!
Speaking to some Steemit Veterans just to get their opinion on how to simplify steemit to someone with no knowledge of the Blockchain or any technical Skills. Below are some of their simplest definition of Steemit:
Steemit is a place your voice is worth something- @pfunk
A cooperative network, a system for providing and recieving value in a cooperative community- @demotruk
It is a social Network, a creative space, project workshop, community building and a reward zone- @aggroed
Steemit is an opportunity for people to be able to share and interact in a rewarding community- @papa-pepper
Steemit is an experimental platform were cryptocurrency rewards incentivise engagement- @gavvet
Steemit pays the users directly for posting good contents that makes the site a better one. Other users choose which content that makes the site better- @donkeypong
If you are reading this blog, take a cue from the different simplified approach to steemit and what it does, use it, emphasize on it for this new crops showing interest- make them understand they don't just make money from Signing up and remaining dormant on the platform i.e dead users. Incase you wish to know your dead followers:
Click Here for your Dead Followers
Networking and interactions coupled with some mind blowing contents worthy of directing traffic to the platform gets rewarded
When we all make this known before this individals sign-up, the percentage of leaving Steemit will reduce drastically!

I love all the quotes, but this one is more captivating!
The experimental to me means 'finding me' and what i can offer.
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent interpretations sweet one
This is a wonderful post of it kinds, the quotes attached to it is mind blowing and capable of attracting people to steemit community.
I love this:
Money are never easy and steemit is not an exception , hard work, hard work and only hard work
You should clamour on that when you talk to people about steemit mate...
Thank you bro @oluwoleolaide for this creative way of explaining Steemit to non techies.
This one is really precise
We have a problem in Africa where most people have been messed up with ponzis and pyramid.
These pyramids have biased their minds and they do not to hear anything that works online.
Exactly bro, the trauma of this multitude makes it complicated when you explain to them...

very good post, thank you very much for sharing, it is very important what you say, because it means that the way of seeing reality is changing
🤔
The more people realize steemit is not a get rich quick platform the better. I love those definition but to me i see as a social media that pays me for my content and activity.
True true. I'm having a hard time convincing my relative to join Steemit, she was a victim of the MMM ponzi scheme, so it's hard for her to trust anything with 'crypto'and 'decentralised' attached to it.
She also says we get paid peanuts for Hardwork and I replied
**who pays peanuts for yours? **.
Since then we haven't spoken, lol. I'll still try and make her see the light
hahahahaha......she could have joined in the days of cool cash
"Steemit is like Facebook, when people like your post you get paid. How much you get is dependent on who liked and the quantity of the" like". But if you are thinking of buying a Lamborghini with your first post, then you should pick up your gloves and challenge Mayweather "
At this juncture I pause :)
Nice post ✌️
Yepa!
That is a KO marketing mate!
Lol
🤣🤣😂🤣
Am still laughing hard. You will not kill me here like seriously
I was just trying to be helpful :)
I love the koncept nah, oya emabinu i take the "Yepa" back🤣😂😂😀😁
The ponzi spirit is strong. You need an exorcist to get it out most of the time. Seriously, explaining how it works to a newbie who is thinking only of how to get lots of money is an uphill task.
You are very right brother, espcially in this corner of the world.
