"Wavy"
Festival music sourcing a variety of festivals from EDM, fiddle/bluegrass, Gamelan, Jazz to Jam Band extended jam ...
One Media® humbly offers a jam of a tune for a Steemit Music League #beatbattle season two, round ten (S2:R10) entry in a Festival Music theme...
So the composer first picked-up and ran with the jam band with the intention from the outset to have it built around the electronica beating, and thus built on both a jam band and an EDM crossover, then, in walks the acoustic violin as if someone said invited a fiddle to a bluegrass festival, then Gamelan comes into the listener's consciousness as if invited to a Gamelan festival ...
Recorded May 17, 2018, Wavy was recorded 'live style' in the studio, that is, all tracks were taken first take, to give the sensation of all these festival musicians showing up and jamming out. The producer was at first tempted to release the tune in that spirit of raw liveness and live rawness, but then decided to do a bit of editing and some envelope shaping. Note however, the violin track was not compressed and therefore it is recommended to listen to this recording loud to fully appreciate the extent of the dynamic range of the violin.
The tune opens up with electronica followed by a bass line vamp typical of extended jam style live tunes, countless live extended jams live and rely on a steady swinging catchy hook, here done with a deep, square bass to lay the foundation of the tune firmly on the electronica side of traditional jam band. Further, vibraphone and marimba were added to give the tune a touch of Latin Jazz along with orchestral percussion and Gamelan an overall exotic world percussive array to color the tune.
Music Visualization was absolutely necessary for a Festival Music entry, so many festivals leave one seeing all sorts of visuals...
What's a festival without visuals?! One Media® overlay the -- 3D orthogonal and circular fractal "Warped Mandala" visuals onto the musical visualization stream, an 'absolute must' for a Festival Music entry, and that's why One Media® went all out and made it into a full music video from the beginning ...
Happy listening!

@onemedia what an amazing piece of music really, it might seem scattered, but it has such a great structure, well done man
Thank you, my friend. I'd like to think the structure kind of self-assembled on this one... ;-)
I left my acid trip somewhere...Oh i found it!
Trippy vid/beat! Good luck on contest
outside inside out, tripping la vida loca :)
thank you my friend! glad you survived it! ;-)
This is a great song, way tripped out. Anyone on acid at a festival would have a lot of fun with this one!!
Thanks man!!! Well, hopefully not too much of a good thing ... ;-)
Yea definitely needs like a dose meter do not watch after here if you are this many minutes into trip! haha!
see your doctor if visuals persist more than twenty minutes without replay...
Hahaa!!

WOWWWWWWWW!!!
What an all out effort you put into this entry. An 8+ min high quality soul-rattling audio production with 8+ minutes of mind-bending video especially around 3:55-4:25.
That marimba and vibraphone added such an amazing element to the already jam-packed sounds you shared with us.
Defintely got a spontaneous, yet structured, feeling from this entry and you take us on such a ride. Kept me in the moment and my ears being pushed to their boundaries. Gotta love that. Listening to this entry is like a workout for the ears. Keeps them on point and moving forward.
So amazing this is your artwork as well that you used in the video. You truly are onemedia. Love it.
Much appreciation for all the time and effort you put into creating this entry o myyyyyyy.
Thank you, my friend. The response I receive from you and all my friends here make the effort all worthwhile. It's a great joy to participate with this cohort of great musicians.
I especially enjoy hearing how you find the whole experience so fully immersive, that experience is then a shared one!
Ayy awesome to hear my friend. Glad to hear :)
