This is a good, long article about building barrier islands in south louisiana. I'm very interested in the subject so for me this is a must read. I have to say, the above quote is impressive, 12 feet of water turned into land, love it! Need more of this, but I could understand someone saying it's too much money to build back an island at around $60,000 an acre.....
