Here are my Yellow "I care" and my Pink "Gentleness" roses in watercolor
Hello Steemians,
I used to make pencil drawings but allways admired watercolor pantings.
Not very sure of myself I believed it was too hard for me.
Many years later and wiser I told myself to go for, at least try it :)
So I did.
The pink rose was my first and I was proud of myself when I finished it.
It went way easier then I had expected and I enjoyed it immensly.
It was finished within a week of joy :)
I wanted to honor it.
So I bought a fitting frame for it (I like simple) and found it a spot on my wall where I could enjoy it.
!
A few month later I decided to give it another go and this time I wanted to make a yellow one.
At the time I didn't feel to good health wise and had low energy.
Maybe I picked to wrong time but, I all ways found that being creative gave me good energy.
So I started and soon I ran into feelings of resist and found it hard to concentrate.
I stopped and wanted to give it some time.
As soon as I started again the same feelings came back and I didn't understood why.
This time I didn't want to stop because I feared I might never finish it.
So I kept going and going and bit by bit I finished it.
I was so happy when I framed it and hung it on the wall :)
Even gave myself a pet on the shoulder haha
Its hanging there as a reminder not to give up.
Yellow roses stand for: Joy, Gladness, Friendship, Delight, Promise of a new beginning, Welcome Back, Remember Me,
"I care"
Pink roses stand for: Admiration, Sympathy, Gentleness, Grace, Gladness, Joy, Sweetness
Thanks for taking a look at my paintings and have a great day !
superb drawings , i love them , your very talented
Thanks alot @ogstealtos blushes :)
I love roses. I can just see you now, talking to your roses like I do mine.
Yes I love roses and do sometimes talk to them in the garden, thank them for excisting.
Not as much as I talk to my cats though :)
Lovely. Blown away by the depth you manage to capture in those. Fantastic stuff. More to come?
Thanks for the compliment @cassiel it means alot :)
I doubt at the moment that there will be more comming.
I have Fibromyalgia and when I made those two paintings it was not too bad.
Since then it only got worse and all the joints in my hands, elbow and shoulders hurt alot
and I really have to watch out what I do on any day.
Getting through all the usual stuff in a day can be alot.
BUT I focus on what I still can do and let go what I cannot anymore.
This way I manage to stay positive :)
All the best then Friend. You are a credit to yourself and an inspiration to all of us.
Nice post, @openheart. I'd say you did really well with your paintings for a first-timer. Resteeming this to 7700+ followers. :)

With pleasure ! 🙏🏻🌷🙏🏻
Wow very beautiful and that for a first damn, you're natural. I have never tried watercolor bit I have the same problem, no idea how to start. Fantastic colors
Awww thanks for the compliment @kamiaan its much appreciated :)
Just grab some paper, clear your mind and find something that you really like to look at :)
My problem is overthinking aswell and not being secure of myself.
So kamiaan, go for it and be gentle on yourself :)
I made some small mistakes which I managed to hide haha
Just enjoy the process and be happy with whatever you end up with.
If you decide to do it, then I would love to see the result please.
have a great day !
I think it is astonishing 💖
Thats very kind of you @spazzmm. Thank you !
Cheers friend 💖
Your watercolors are beautiful! Watercolor needs such a light touch compared to oils and acrylic so I never quite got the hang of it. My teacher said my colors are garish. Yours are perfect!
Wow thanks alot @silversmyth your right it does take a light touch and in this case many many layers of color to get the deeper colors. So I just kept going untill I liked it :)
This is amazing !!
Thank you @leoak, its very nice to here !
