Popcorn and TV
Drawing for Dwelling
Today, I'm showing you an ink illustration called 'Popcorn and TV' that I created for Chapter Forty-Eight of @dougkarr's thrilling novel Dwelling, a crime novel set in New York’s Lower East Side.
The glow and crackle of the TV comforted Morris along with the whistling radiator. His ass sweated in his prized ancestral chair, the popcorn was popped, smoothie made, the start of the show.

The drawing was created using masking fluid, black drawing inks, a brush, ink dropper and a dip pen.
But as one film bled into the next, the canvases behind his head took him over. Three discarded abstracts of a lonesome tenement that would just as likely sink into waves and silt the next hundred years as stay erect for more souls to find themselves stuck in.
