The Diary Game: 13/06/2021- Back From 2 Days Funeral

Hi Steemians, sorry for missing my post for 2 days. This was to enable me give much attention to my my in-law's funeral which took place on 12th & 13th June 2021, that was Saturday and Sunday respectively. My busy schedule began on Thursday after the Launch of our Steem Virtual Store promo. I received my father all the way from Sefwi at the western region of Ghana. This was his first time of coming down here to Nsuta town.

My wife and I were looking for a room where all the seven (7) visitors would sleep. And again preparing food that they would eat from that Thursday to Sunday till they would leave Nsuta.

All kinds of food, stew, and soup were made. The pressure came on my wife as she was alone preparing the food, it was lately that Eargerheart came and support her.

On Friday that was 11th June 2021, the rest of six (6) family members comprising my younger father, Aunties, Brother and Sister came. They arrived in the evening around 6:10pm. We helped them with water to bath and food to eat. All the females were given a visitor's room to sleep while all the males were given the room we rented for 3 days. In the Ashanti's customer, I supposed to take my family to great my in-laws on that Friday, but it was too late for us to go, I gave message to my wife who would be going to the funeral ground that evening to tell my in-laws that we have come but we would not be able to come unless tomorrow.

Early in the morning Saturday, I and my family went to great my in-laws at the funeral ground at Nkwabrim, this was around 5:55am. We remain there till all the customary rites on the corpse was done, church service and everything was done.

Indeed, my Father In-law: Emmanuel Yaw Yeboah Kodie, the deceased had 88 years before he died.

We went home to find something to eat and came back in the afternoon around 3:00pm. Few friends and teachers came and supported me. They came and greeted my family and donated some money for them.

On Sunday, we went and gave thanks to God for successful funeral. After the church service, I escorted my Aunties & one of my father's to pick car to Kumasi. The rest of us, my brother, sister and elder father remain and went to the continue the funeral. They would be going to tomorrow. We sat there till we closed the funeral. When we close, tomorrow all my family would be leaving. But I would be in the house to relax for the tiredness.
