Hello Brothers & Sisters be blessed for your contonuity in holding firmly the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. There is one thing we must know or learn in all our Christian lifestyle. That is, our service as Christians. We must view our service for Christ being reciprocate. Reciprocate of one thing between two people or things for mutual benifits.
We exchange our love, passion, sacrifices money, suffering and many things it takes in life for our children to succeed in life, or for upbringing of our children's future. In returns, our children must be commited to also serve us well as we have become old and can't work. This one scenario in life we show between parents & their wards.
Though Jesus was not expecting something extra ordinary from us for his personal gains, but in reciprocal, Jesus expects the love that He showed for us to become beneficial for us. So, He laid down his life to save us from sins. He was crucified with no perculiar reason, since He was worried by the extent that our sins have reached.
John 10:11, 14(NIV)
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me."
Our exchange of love to Jesus Christ trying to "know him." Knowing Jesus Christ here means that we must obey him. There is no way that we can know Jesus Christ without obeying his principles & what He teaches us about the the word of God. That is what the Scripture mentions as "voice." we must hear the voice of Jesus Christ, & He too must hear our voice. Our attitudes, likeness & worship must reflect on what Jesus Christ want. So, that Jesus Christ can also continue to show us love.
