THE SHOPPING GAME : 27th July 2020 - Filling Gas Cylinder & Buying Fuel

in #theshoppinggame4 years ago (edited)

Hello Everyone, I have been away in the shopping game about 2 days ago, this is because I often buy food stuff and I was having some stock to wait for Thursday Market.

But one thing I was lacking is My Gas for cooking. Since it finished about a week a go, I opted for the use of charcoal which is another option that is good, yet the use of the Gas has been so quick and easy compare to the stress one will go through before setting the fire of the charcoal. So, I normally use both means of cooking.

I decided to go to Mampong, our Municipal town just about 3 miles from Nsuta. I Didn't want to pick a taxi since I know how to ride a motorbike which is a quick means of travelling. I requested @menak motorbike since we live in the same town. This was just around 2:15pm when we closed from school. I request in the morning when we were going to school. So, right from school, I came home and to took my gas cylinder, tied it well at the back of the motorbike. I set of to Mampong the Ashanti Region of Ghana. When I used to fill my Gas, I was told that their gas has got finished, so I had to divert to to a different place. This is the Goil gas filling station, their services are very good. The size of my cylinder gas is 14kg, so I decided to fill in full, since last it lasted for about 1 month 2 weeks. By this time they have increased the price from Ghc 64.00 to 80, about 16% price increased. This Ghc 80.00 14kg Cylinder gas is 26.67 Liters. Now this price in US Dollars is $13.6, and in Steem is $94.4 Steem. I told the Gas station man to start filling my Gas cylinder as you can see the price & the quantity.

I came and met other cars and many people joining queue to fill their cylinder with gas. I was told that it's very economical to use gas, but very dangerous too, because of explosion it normally cause. It was my turn for the man to fill my, and I had to make sure that he is captured for proof of purchase.

Within a short time, he finished filling it. I conveyed it and tied it on the motorbike again. I set off to Nsuta where I live. In Mampong town, I remembered that I had to purchase fuel too. In fact I need to do so, and I think that was fair decision since I had wasted @menak's petrol and I needed to fill the tank for him.

I came to Shell fuel save, where I purchased only 1.03 Litres of petrol to continue my journey. The amount was Ghc 5.00. when this amount is converted to Dollar it's $0.85 and in Steem is $ 5.9 Steem. I informed the filling station man to fill the tank for me.

It took me lest than 10 minutes to get to the house. The motorbike could run very faster.

When I reached to the house, I calculated everything cost I incurred on the filling of my Gas Cylinder and the petrol in the motorbike.
It all amounted to : **Ghc 85.00, in the Dollar conversion is $14.45 and in steem is $100.3 Steem.

That was how my Daily shopping on my fuel went. Thanks to all my fans here in Steem.

it is true that gas is now a lot of people who switch to use gas in. cooking needs. instead of charcoal now many people are switching gas in my area too. good luck, I always support you. regards

Thanks for coming round.

Hey, I must say the petrol price is relatively cheap there, here that much would cost at least 1.2 USD in my city.

Regarding Gas cylinder it appears very costly there, luckily here Govt gives subsidized gas to every family. That helps a family to get a gas cylinder at just half the price of what you get there.

Using gas is not just quick but environment friendly also. Here even in the rural areas people have started using gas, who earlier using wood and charcoal. Thanks to the Govt initiative. Particularly in this area, Govt has proactively worked a lot and brought suitable schemes to make it affordable for the common middle class and poor people.

I think that was fair decision since I had wasted @menak's petrol and I needed to fill the tank for him.

I must really appreciate that, it's always good to give it back in some form or the other to reciprocate a help from a friend or a relative.

Have a great day.

Steem on.
