Hi all, I'm Mike (oppy1984). I'm new and still learning about Steemit.

A little about myself, I'm self-employed and have been since 2008, I work as a courier delivering newspapers to distributors and I blog (shameless plug www.oppy1984.com) I also am the VP of an online nurse tutoring website that my mom started after retiring from several years as a nursing instructor. (why not another shameless plug? www.NurseTutor.net)

I'm still learning about Steemit, I just found out about it a little while ago and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it properly.

Oh yeah, I have a 5 month old Golden Retriever named Lucy, just thought I'd throw that in since she's bumping my arm for attention while I type.

    Thanks! Like I said I'm still trying to figure this all out. It seems a lot like Reddit which would make it easier to learn if I'm not mistaken.
