THE STORY OF ESTHER ~ PART 1 (Ahasuerus and Vashti)
Hello beautiful people. Hope you all are doing awesome today. Our God is of course an awesome God. Today i’ll like to talk more about the story of Esther in the bible. I’ve talked about this before but I realized there are numerous amazing lessons to learn from this amazing lady and story. I hope you connect and be blessed as you read.
This post might be divided into three or four parts depending on how long the post will be. First of all, I’ll be talking about the king and his first wife. It happened that there was a king whose name was Ahasuerus and he had a queen named Vashti.
The king was in a good mood during a part and he ordered his wife to come show herself and how pretty she was before everyone. It was recorded that the wife refused to heed to his call. It could be that she was busy, or she was too proud, whatever the case may have been, it still balls down to the fact that she refused. This act made the king really furious and then he ordered that his wife be banned!
After some time, King Ahasuerus became unhappy without a queen, so he ordered that there should be a search for a beautiful girl in that kingdom to be his bride. To cut the long story short, Esther was found. Esther was very beautiful and kind. She was an image of exactly what the king was looking for. And finally, they got married.
Now, let’s look into the story of the king and his first wife. Its true that the queen refused to yield to the call of the king, but for the king to be so angry till the extent of ordering them to ban his own wife was really absurd. Maybe that was the punishment for such act those days, I don’t know, but banning her for that singular act was extreme.
The Bible says
A fool always loses his temper, But a wise man holds it back.
Prov 29:11
It shows there that the man was a fool for that act. Anger is a killer, it can destroy a whole nation if care is not taken. Please, let’s watch it.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Ecc 4: 31-31
Now to the queen, Vashti, how on earth will a woman even think of disrespecting her own husband in public for that matter? He made the king look like a fool already for not heeding to his call.
The bible says in Prov 11:2 and in Proverbs 16:18 respectively that,
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.
There's a saying that a word is enough for a wise. These are more than just "a word", so if you are wise, you should take to it.
Thanks so much for reading...

The story of Esther is one of my favorites. She was a great woman. I'm happy you did justice to the story
The Bible never said that Ahaseurus killed vashti @oredebby. He forbade her from ever coming before him but no mention of death. Check your facts.
The most important thing i learn from the story of Esther is her relationship with God....... It is said that He/She that that knee before God will stand before men in power.
