Today after lunch I have read this post by @tarazkp in which he asks his readers' opinions about what would the perfect economy look like and our life in it. I thought of answering it in the comments but this is rather deep idea and worthy of a separate post.

Then @laputis and I took a nice little nap and afterwards have just practiced with fresh head our repertoire for our upcoming organ duet recital in Denmark. Now I'm ready to delve deeper into this topic of perfect economy.

Of course, perfect means different things to different people and therefore we never seem to be able to attain the system under which everybody would feel happy.

Here is what I think, though. On the surface my idea is very simple.

In my perfect world, every person would have a chance to earn their decent living by doing the things they love the most. Also people who cannot participate in the economic activities because of age or illnesses will have to be taken care of by the system.

In the not too distant future everything that can be automatized will be automatized and be done by robots and artificial intelligence. What will people do in all that free time?

Let's imagine a world where Steem is the foundation of economy where every person can participate in. The 5.0 internet blankets entire planet. Everyone is connected and can share their thoughts and activities in real time. Thousands of DApps on Steem will provide different token earning opportunities. Everything you can imagine a person does during the day would be tokenized by DApps.

Everyone will be earning 30-100 different tokens every day. The value of each token will be determined by supply and demand on the open market.

Of course, Steem and other forms of crypto would be accepted everywhere. It would be even possible to pay for products and services with an upvote. At this point the value of Steem will have risen through the roof because of world-wide adoption. I think to accommodate this, Steem would need to scale well beyond the current capacities of each block.

To prevent abuse of people who like to maximize their ROI at the expense of everyone else Steem would need to have some safeguards. Maybe eliminate self-voting altogether? Also many people wouldn't agree but KYC would be an interesting idea because then one person could only have one account.

Do you think this is a realistic scenario?

I better wrap this post up because I would like to finish my Pinky and Spiky comic today too...

I think what would make it interesting for abuse is that there would be a strong web of trust developed where accounts could be evaluated by other accounts (with the AI)on their interaction.

Although, what I wonder is that with a world that ran on a general intelligence AI, it would likely make better decisions than anyone of us :)

Yes, with AI this wouldn't work at all.

I think there will come a time where we will defer even more decisions to algorithms and likely be happier for it, although trapped in the matrix :D
