41-year-old Chilean legendary goalkeeper Claudio Bravo announced his retirement on social media, bringing an end to his 21-year professional career.
Bravo began his career at Colo-Colo and later played for clubs such as Real Sociedad, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Real Betis.
During his time at Barcelona, his major honors included 2 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey titles, a Supercopa de España, and a UEFA Champions League title. At Manchester City, he won the Premier League title, 2 EFL Cups, and 2 Community Shields. Additionally, he also secured a Copa del Rey title with Real Betis.
On the international stage, Bravo made his debut for the Chilean national team on July 11, 2004, and has since earned 150 caps. He won back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016.
