James says that the faith of someone without works is a dead faith. Therefore, when God reviews the works, God determines, he says he is a Christian, but he is not.
Explanation:

We must not confuse, the term good works does not refer only to reading the Bible, praying, fasting or attending church, it also has to do with time, talents, money.
When the scripture says that the believer should do good deeds, he is not talking about earning salvation. He says that the believer must show good works to show that faith in Christ. Faith goes first, and works confirm that faith.
