Enlightenment - the defloration of selfishness
Did you already think that the headline is some kind of ridiculous, crude joke that offends the feelings of believers of many confessions at once? But this is the metaphor of Jesus Christ Himself.
How many times in the New Testament is the word "groom" mentioned? In the total amount - 12, but in different Gospels there is a repetition of the same words of Christ, so. in fact, three times. In the parable of the foolish virgins, in response to the fasting of his disciples, and in the revelation of John the Theologian (Matt. 9: 15, Matt. 25: 6, Rev. 18: 23). What did Christ and the apostles want to say with this metaphor? Why was the metaphor of the "groom" understood by ancient people in general? Are you sure that you understand it correctly and chastely?)))
I just suggest that you look at this metaphor from a different angle.
In different Buddhist and Vedic schemes of the structure of subtle bodies, there is a mention of the causal body or body of causes. It is located right after the Atmanic (Monad of the Spirit) and buddhic (intuitive) bodies.
But the metaphor of Christ becomes clearer when the same thing is drawn like this
The causal body is the repository of information about the entire karmic history of man (past lives, this life in minute detail, the perinatal period). It builds the programs and properties of all lower bodies, like genes form the body. Certainly through it there are channels of communication with higher worlds and energies, otherwise it would be impossible to pray and meditate.
But the main thing is that it is the body of causes (personal Karma) that almost completely blocks the higher energies of the passage to the more material planes of man and the universe. And thus fulfills the role of the virgin pleura. And any Heavenly Bridegroom (holy, prophet, Teacher) can fill with the Holy Spirit everything that psychologists paint in the form of the Maslow pyramid, in only one way - by expanding the channel of communication with the Divine.
"Marriage Feast," you say? )))
