Me in a nutshell .... My introduction to Steemit!
Hello folks! Today is my first day on Steemit and I am so excited! I've figured out the basics, read many, many posts and am ready to share a bit of myself with you all! 🙋
I am simply a down to earth mom to my 2 beautiful daughters. An introvert with a need for quiet time by myself, to get away from the noise of the world. I love nature, animals and exploring. I have fallen in love with tiny houses and have come to understand and realize that more is less, when it comes to stuff. I find comfort around animals and next to my girls my miniature horse is my pride and joy. I have a dog and cats and live in small town Ontario in Canada.
I love to explore and learn. Last year I took a trip to Iceland and it was amazing! I've always been fascinated with the country and it's ruggedness, culture, Icelandic horses and waterfalls. One of the best decision I've ever made! I can't wait to share the billion photos I took.
I love crafting and re-purposing antiques and anything free. There is so much that goes to waste that could just use some creativity and TLC and it helps that I work in an antique auction barn. I am a procrastinator and not proud of it. I have many, many ideas and projects on the go. When I get into a creative "zone" I simply can't concentrate. I begin one thing and get sidetracked into another and because I like everything to be perfect and nothing truly is perfect in life, things go unfinished. I'm working on that part of myself.
I believe in organic farming without pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, etc. If you can't grow it, it's not food and last time I checked Kraft Dinner doesn't grow from the ground and money doesn't grow on trees, although eating money would just be disgusting! 😖

You aren't the only tiny home lover here! I am drafting plans to build a 14'x32' cottage (tiny home) on top of some old concrete bridge pillars leftover from the railroad on our acreage. I hope to get it started within the next 2 years, and I hope my crypto investments can help pay for it! Tiny houses are the best! Looking forward to future interactions here on Steemit!
WOW!!!!! That sounds so cool!!! My dream is to build a small 400-500 sq ft house on foundation. As much as I love the idea of building on a trailer and traveling I just find them a bit too compact. Good luck with your build! I hope you blog about it too so I can follow your progress! I'll be writing about the property I'm working on and the little "bunkie" we're building! :) Cheers
That's awesome! I will be watching for a post about your progress. I am drafting floorplans and sketches of this little cottage - something I can take to a contractor for estimates. Although I am a carpenter and I could build it myself, I likely won't have time.
