Before I begin enumerating the agricultural products we have, lets first look into what the term "agricultural products" mean. Several people think about food whenever agriculture comes to mind but it is a big misconception. Agricultural products encompasses all the products you get when plants or animals are cultivated for the sustenance of life. However it is no news that food is the most widely produced agricultural product but there are several other products by man which is evident and useful in everyday life. Now moving into the topic proper, there are several agricultural products out there which are quite relevant for the daily need of man. Lets get to them.

* Food

Like I have hinted earlier, food is the most widely produced agricultural products and they range from;

• Cereal Crops
• poultry
• pulses
• Oil Seeds
• beef
• livestocks etc all for the consumption and benefit of man.

* Fiber

This is another very important agricultural product we cannot do without. It is very essential to our every day need. Do you want to wear good clothes, sleep on a good bed without having back pains when you are awake, then think fiber. Examples include cotton, silk, wool as well as bamboo.

* Raw Materials

If you have ever ventured into agricultural engineering you will understand what raw materials are used for. They are majorly agricultural products useful in making other agricultural products. Examples of these raw materials include seed stock which is usually employed in the cultivation of crops, fertilizers used for the purpose of enhancing the productivity of food products as well as several other natural resources that are used for the production of food.

* Fuels

Energy is in high demand everywhere in the world today. Agricultural products (fuels) such as ethanol and bio gas are very useful in producing energy.
