#burnsteem25 - #club100 -My last knitted bags and new plans
Hello everyone;
I have recently embarked on a new adventure🥳. If you have seen my previous posts, I am interested in knitting🧶. I especially love knitting bags. As such, I will try to turn this hobby into extra income as a result of my cousin's insistence. We opened an Instagram and Etsy account for this. Especially Instagram is not my field of interest at all, but I gave the management of that place to my cousin. I just knit and photograph the bags, and she shares the posts. For now, our account is very new and we haven't made sales yet, but at least even if there is no sale, I will have a lot of colorful bags lol🤭.
For this reason, you are likely to see a lot of bags in my next posts. Because every free moment I have my hand on the crochet and I try to knit something. But I hate the marketing part of this business. I am definitely not a sales person. Luckily, I am lucky because dear @busraca loves social media and tries harder than me in this regard.
In today's post, I will show my newly knitted bags.
First of all, I knitted a cell phone bag. This bag was quite easy to make. The bag was ready in about 1, 1 and a half hours. For my bag, the beautiful Bişa modeled the world. These phone bags are very fashionable this season. I often encounter them when I go to the stores. I knitted one of these mini bags in order to catch the fashion. I had plenty of lilac colored raffia yarn. Since it is a color suitable for summer, I started with this color first. I think I will knit a few more. However, I don't know when there will be many bags to knit in the queue.
I finished my second bag yesterday. This time I used cotton yarn instead of raffia yarn. The cotton yarn felt softer than raffia yarn. Since the raffia yarn has a hard structure, it hurts the fingers. Even my index finger is quite calloused now. This time I knitted a brick colored arm bag. 1 and a half balls of yarn were spent for this bag. My crochet number was number 4. First I knitted two circles and then I joined these circles. After the handle and a mini cover, my bag was ready. This bag looks very elegant and was actually very simple to knit.
Well, when you get into this business, you need a lot of material. For this reason, I often visit haberdashery shops and shop for threads. These are the threads I have for now. Unfortunately, inflation has reached horrible levels in Turkey. This is reflected in rope prices as in everything. I can now buy these yarns for three or four times the price I bought them for last year, but my own knitting is still much more affordable than the store prices.
That's all from me for now. I will start my new bag soon and I can't wait to share it with you when it is finished.
Have a good week
