#Club100 - Zağnus Valley and Suleiman the Magnificent Culture House

Hello dear WOX family,

I haven't been able to spare time for Steemit for a while, so I haven't been able to post for a long time. As I often share in this community in the past months, I went to visit my cousin and we discovered lots of new places. Even though I go back to my home and return to my normal life this Wednesday, the posts I want to prepare about the holiday are not finished yet. If I planned to prepare a post after I got home, I put it off all the time. Today I finally put an end to my laziness and prepared a post.

The place I will talk about in today's article is the Zağnos Valley. This place is located in Ortahisar district of Trabzon. I must admit that it was not in our plans to visit this place, but we found ourselves here after a misunderstanding. We were happy with our situation as this misunderstanding resulted in a nice trip.

The name Zagnos is not a common name in Turkish either. Therefore, when I researched the name of the valley, I learned that it came from Zağnos Pasha who lived in the 15th century. Zağnos Pasha also contributed to the repair of the historical bridge here. For this reason, the bridge was given the name Zağnos bridge.

This region, where history and nature are intertwined, is used as a park today. In addition, the historical houses overlooking this valley add a different atmosphere to the region.

Right next to the Zagnos Valley, there is Kanuni Park. Suleiman the Magnificent is undoubtedly one of the most important sultans of the Ottoman Empire. Sultan Suleiman, the longest-reigning sultan of the Ottoman Empire, was born in Trabzon. For this reason, Trabzon has a park and a cultural house in its name.

The Magnificent Kanuni culture house is used as a museum today. There are wax sculptures in this house, whose entrance fee is 10 TL (2 Steem), and it also reflects the architecture of the period.

It has been a pleasure for me to visit Zağnus Valley and Kanuni Park, located in one of the central points of Trabzon. I hope you liked my post.
