How do you store/secure your keys?

The crypto ecosystem is associated with lengthy keys and addresses which serves as their private passwords for security. The crypto ecosystem is associated with lengthy alphanumeric words generated as a result of the cryptographic hash function.

Looking as the cumbersome nature of these keys and addresses, its very difficult to memorise the keys. However, there are several ways to store your keys to prevent it from getting lost and also from thieves.

  • Soft copy: Soft copy is one of the good ways to save your keys. This includes emails, google drives and others. Although many people would say emails could be hacked as stuffs, I still recommend gmail as one of the good ways to store your keys. Keeping your keys in your gmail account, you can copy and paste it anytime you need to make any transaction. Which makes it more accessible and secured as well.

  • Hard copy: In my opinion, this is the best way to keep your keys and addresses more secured. With this type, you can write the private keys or the addresses in your dairy to keep it more confidential. Nobody can hack a written password unless the dairy is stolen which is very rare. However, I recommend both the hard copy and the soft copy since either of them have their importance.

What are the different forms of Private Key(Examples/Screenshot)?

Private Key

This key consist of lengthy alphanumeric characters which is generated as a result of cryptographic hash function. This is the most common key within the crypto world. A typical example is the keys we were given when registering the steemit. The private posting key, the owner key etc. These are all private keys.

Mnemonic Key

This type of keys are usually associated with wallets in the crypto ecosystem. When creating wallet accounts, the you would be given the Mnemonic keys as a recovery phrase to access his wallet at anytime anywhere. The Mnemonic key consists of words, usually within 12 to 24 words which would be given to the user in a form of password which would be required to recover the wallet account anytime you change your device.

Keystore file

This is a type of private key which is used together with the password of the user to recover your wallet. This type of key looks similar to the private key but it works with the user password before you can recover your password.

I have written all the keys on a paper and hide is somewhere in my dairy. After writing all, I have also memorise all these keys.

Which form of the key are you comfortable with to handle your TronLink Wallet? Include Screenshots & hide/blur the sensitive information.

I would be comfortable with the Mnemonic keys in the sense that, the Mnemonic keys are easy to memorise than the private keys. Am in my opinion, they are equally secured although the cumbersome nature of the private key makes it look more secured.
