Today I will begin to tell you how it was that after several years with my wife we were able to fulfill dreams that we thought were unattainable. I will do it in two posts for the amount of information I have to offer. I hope you like it!

Hoy comenzaré a contarles como fue que después de varios años con i esposa pudimos cumplir sueños que pensábamos que eran inalcanzables. Lo haré en dos posteos por la cantidad de información que tengo para ofrecer. Espero les guste!

A year ago we were leaving in search of a dream that we dreamed more than 12 years ago, of those that many times we saw so far away that we thought it would be very difficult to fulfill in the medium term.

Hace un año partíamos en busca de un sueño que soñamos hace más de 12 años atrás, de esos que en muchas oportunidades veíamos tan lejano que pensábamos que sería muy difícil de cumplir en el mediano plazo.

Since we were together with my wife we dreamed of taking a beautiful vacation somewhere with white beaches, crystal clear waters, before getting married and having children, but the financial situation did not allow us to make our great dream trip come true, since we did not have way to solve it.

Desde que estamos juntos con mi esposa soñábamos con tomarnos unas lindas vacaciones en algún lugar de playas blancas, de aguas cristalinas, antes de casarnos y de tener hijos, pero la situación financiera no nos permitía hacer realidad nuestro gran soñado viaje, ya que no teníamos modo de solventarlo.

The years went by and we settled for taking vacations of 5 or 6 days, on beaches near our city, which have nothing like the beaches we dreamed of knowing.

Los años fueron pasando y nos fuimos conformando con tomarnos vacaciones de 5 o 6 días, en playas próximas a nuestra ciudad, que nada tienen de parecido con las playas que soñábamos conocer.

That is how we decided to redefine our goals in order to progress in our lives, putting other priorities ahead. So we started paying a car in installments, which we could access after 7 years of being paying. We also signed up for a social housing plan, since it was the only alternative to be able to acquire a house and thus stop throwing money into a rental.

Fue así que decidimos redefinir nuestros objetivos para poder progresar en nuestras vidas, poniendo por delante otras prioridades. Así comenzamos a pagar un auto en cuotas, al cual pudimos acceder después de 7 años de estar pagando. También nos inscribimos en un plan de viviendas sociales, ya que era la única alternativa de poder adquirir una casa y de esa manera dejar de tirar el dinero en un alquiler.

They were years of much effort and sacrifice, in which we were able to progress a lot by resigning many things to be able to have something.

Fueron años de mucho esfuerzo y sacrificio, en los cuales pudimos progresar muchísimo resignando muchas cosas para poder tener algo.

In the middle of all this process in which we had been paying for our car and house (back in 2012) we became parents of our first daughter. From that moment everything changed since we stopped thinking based on our desires and needs; Our priority in life was already another.

En medio de todo este proceso en que veníamos pagando nuestro auto y casa (allá por el año 2012) nos convertimos en padres de nuestra primer hija. Desde ese momento todo cambió ya que dejamos de pensar en función de nuestros deseos y necesidades; nuestra prioridad en la vida ya era otra.

Two years after our daughter was born we decided to get married. Although it had been several years since we lived together until then, my girlfriend and for me it was not important to get married. She always had the dream of marrying a white dress and having a party.

A los dos años de haber nacido nuestra hija decidimos casarnos . Si bien hacía varios años que vivíamos juntos con hasta ese entonces mi novia y para mí no era importante el casarme. ella siempre tuvo el sueño de casarse con vestido blanco y tener una fiesta.

With all the effort in the world and contracting debt we could have a beautiful party with 75 guests. We would like to have done something a little bigger, but once again our economy did not allow it.

Con todo el esfuerzo del mundo y contrayendo deuda pudimos hacer una hermosa fiesta con 75 invitados. Nos gustaría haber hecho algo un poco más grande, pero una vez más nuestra economía no lo permitía.

So it is that we did not have a wedding night, much less a wedding trip. Beyond that we enjoyed it very much and we knew that sooner or later we would reach our dreams, for which we continued to work hard.

Tal es así que no tuvimos noche de bodas, y mucho menos viaje de bodas. Más allá de eso lo disfrutamos muchísimo y sabíamos que tarde o temprano alcanzariamos nuestros sueños, para los cuales seguíamos trabajando duro.

Thank God soon after they gave us the car and after 2 years the house. At that time we stopped spending money on rent, but decided to borrow to expand the house.

Gracias a Dios al poco tiempo nos entregaron el auto y a los 2 años la casa. En ese momento dejamos de gastar dinero en alquiler, pero decidimos endeudarnos para ampliar la casa.

After a few years of having our home and living from remodeling to remodeling, the death of a friend from work (massive heart attack), made me rethink several things in my life. At that moment I realized that life is one and that many times we live making efforts in things that we project that we are not sure if they will happen, because we simply do not reach that future we are visualizing.

Después de unos años de tener nuestra casa y de vivir de remodelación en remodelación , la muerte de un amigo del trabajo (infarto masivo), hizo que me replanteara varias cosas en mi vida. En ese momento me di cuenta que la vida es una y que muchas veces vivimos haciendo esfuerzos en cosas que proyectamos que no tenemos certeza si van a pasar, porque sencillamente no lleguemos a ese futuro que estamos visualizando.

These circumstances led to the decision to curb the arrangements of our house for some time, to devote ourselves to fulfill that dream we had a little forgotten. Again I resorted to a loan but this time it was to enjoy it with my family.

Esas circunstancias llevaron a tomar la decisión de frenar los arreglos de nuestra casa por algún tiempo, para dedicarnos a cumplir ese sueño que teníamos un poco olvidado. Nuevamente recurrí a un préstamo pero esta vez fue para disfrutarlo en familia.

In a record period of 15 days I changed the dates of my vacations, I conditioned the car to be able to travel quietly and that is how we left without pause without haste towards our great dream destination: Ponta das Canas, on the island of Florianopolis.

En un plazo récord de 15 días cambié las fechas de mis vacaciones, condicioné el auto para poder viajar tranquilo y fue así como salimos sin pausa sin prisa hacia nuestro gran soñado destino: Ponta das Canas, en la isla de Florianópolis.

A trip of almost 2500 kilometers which we did very quiet enjoying everything that our eyes saw.

Un viaje de casi 2500 kilómetros el cual hicimos muy tranquilos disfrutando de todo lo que nuestros ojos veían.

For the first stop we slept in a service station since there were no hotels that would accept us to enter at the time we arrived in Zarate. For that reason we had no choice but to sleep a few hours at the service station and leave early for the city of Federacion in the province of Entre Ríos where we would make a 1-day stop to make our daughter's journey more bearable.

Para la primer parada dormimos en una estación de servicio ya que no había hoteles que nos aceptasen ingresar a la hora en que llegamos a Zárate. Por esa razón no nos quedó más remedio que dormir algunas horas en la estación de servicio y salir bien temprano rumbo a la ciudad de Federación en la provincia de Entre Ríos donde haríamos una parada de 1 días para hacer más llevadero el viaje a nuestra hija.

That day in Federation was wonderful. We enjoyed a very nice place and sensational people who made us feel at home. We spent a very nice afternoon of swimming pool and at sunset we went out to eat and take a little walk through the city, since we had not yet traveled half the way.

Ese día en Federación fue maravilloso. Disfrutamos de un lugar muy lindo y de gente sensacional que nos hicieron sentir como en nuestra casa. Pasamos una muy linda tarde de pileta y al caer el sol salimos a comer y dar un pequeño paseo por la ciudad, ya que aún no habíamos recorrido ni la mitad del camino.

The next day we left early and around 4:00 pm we crossed the Argentine border in Paso de los Libres, to finally step on the Brazilian soil in Uruguay.

Al otro día salimos temprano y cerca de las 16 horas cruzamos la frontera Argentina en Paso de los Libres, para por fin pisar el suelo Brasilero en Uruguayana.

While in Brazil we had to travel more than 700 kilometers to the city of Pantano Grande, where we would spend the night.

Estando en Brasil tuvimos que hacer más de 700 kilómetros hasta la ciudad de Pantano Grande, donde pasaríamos la noche.

The journey to get there was not easy at all since with the running of the kilometers the fatigue accumulated and what was initially enthusiasm began to tire us physically and mentally. Around two o'clock in the morning we arrived at our destination where we were very surprised with the cordiality that treated us.

El trayecto hasta llegar allí no fue para nada sencillo ya que con el correr de los kilómetros el cansancio se acumulaba y lo que en un principio era entusiasmo comenzaba a cansarnos física y mentalmente. Cerca de las dos de la madrugada llegamos a nuestro destino donde quedamos muy sorprendidos con la cordialidad que nos trataron.

There we slept peacefully in an inn and when we woke up they were waiting for us with a delicious breakfast with homemade cakes and cookies.
