Analysis of the reward cards: Red.

in #steemmonsters7 years ago (edited)

The season has ended and we have again our well deserved rewards, although this time has been very hard to obtain a decent position in the league. I had to fight with tooth and nails to get into Diamond II, pretty dissapointing when in the precedent seasons I managed to qualify in Champions II at best, but seeing the leaderboard is easy to understand that now it's much harder to reach to the higher leagues than before, even the 1st place was in Champions III.

If you ask me I think that the points given by battle should be changed again to manage some balance without allowing the bots to go higher, the actual system has proved that is effective against them, now the bots don't get higher than Gold leagues.

But maybe I'll talk more deeply about that in another post today we have the red set to analyze:

Exploding dwarf:

This is a card fun to play, it's quite an all or nothing card because if he manages to do more than one attack is devastating in our rival's team but is very likely to don't do more than one or even don't attack at all if is caught in the tank position by a faster monster. Is more useful in formats like Up close and personal, melee mayhem or super sneak.
Anyways if your rival usually play monsters with thorns is recommendable to avoid the use of the Exploding dwarf.

We don't know yet the real value of this card, because it seems designed for a combo team, in which we have some pieces to complete it, combines well with the Flame imp or/and with the Goblin Shaman for example.

Flame Imp:

Imo an undervalued card, it's true that is hardly playable against splinters with magic reflect, is too weak to them, but against red, blue and green can be a very interesting card giving us the initiative to attack first, and in the red splinter this is important. Red has an aggresive style of play that relies more in the speed and the strengh of our cards.

Naga fire wizard:

A very interesting card to play in our team's back although it can be played as a tank against teams that don't rely in many magic monsters because the Naga fire wizard is weaker against them. We have two monsters with thorns in red but it's better choice to put in the back than the Serpentine soldier for obvious reasons. Her mana cost is high so is a choice probably limited to the higher mana caps battles.

Imp bowman:

A very weak card to be epic imo, has some utility in the teams with Selenia but in red his only role is to gain time for other cards like the Goblin shaman or the Fire beetle. In the lowest mana cap games can be useful though. We have to see yet the impact of this card although I don't have many faith in it. A card that probably should be buffed a bit.

This has been today's analysis article mates, I hope that you had some luck on your rewards claiming. See you soon!.
