Interesting Documents that I Left Out of My Deep Dives Article on General Mills Inc.

in Deep Dives5 years ago (edited)

This post is related to some interesting information that I came across, but eventually left out of my Deep Dives article on General Mills Inc. During my search through various leak and government document websites, I came across some cables on Wikileaks that shows regular communication between western and Russian/Soviet block nations from government departments and various industry leaders of the time. They used diplomatic telegram communications to both discuss and organise meetings/seminars, to circumvent whatever 'official' sanctions would have been in place at the time. The diplomatic cables range from April 1974, through to November 1975 and include many instances of General Mills involvement through both it's chemical and food divisions.

Below are the dated and titled diplomatic cables, for anyone who may be interested in viewing the archived files from Wikileaks.

I guess there was still plenty of business to be done, regardless of the cold war that was in full swing during that period;) There are probably a lot more where those came from too!

Interestingly, while reading through the document on entomological field testing technology from Operation Bellwether II in 1961 held at the Dugway Proving Ground Facility, John Hopkins University was listed as one of the major organisations that was part of the official operation in research, development and testing in bio-warfare technologies. This obviously caught my eye at the time, as there was a heavy focus on their recent and major role, as part of the Event 201 pandemic tabletop simulation. The research at Dugway Proving Ground as part of Operation Bellwhether II, involved the use of mosquitoes for testing purposes. This is genuinely interesting, when you consider that the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, are known to have manufactured malaria vaccines which includes the use of Circumsporozoite protein derived from mosquitoes. Their foundation was also part of the same pandemic tabletop simulation of Event 201.

I definitely found all of this to be very interesting, and thought I would share that with you all!
