Saturday Market - and a fresh bowl of vegetable soup
Sergii and Maria at the market in Germosogea
A beautiful sunny day, with new plants out and live Greek music playing
After Maria had done the make up for Lesley's event (my daughter in law) I invited them to the Saturday market on the Saturday. I couldn't have chosen a better day as after all the cold, this was a lovely sunshine day and everything was looking so good and colourful.
The stalls were offering tasters and I was telling Sergii that he didn't have to buy just because he tasted - and he said "But I want to buy"
Fresh vegetables from the farmers
Decided that as the evenings are still a bit chilly it was time for a nice bowl of hot soup. Invited my friend Coula to come for soup and a French loaf. It was absolutely delicious.
This is what went into the soup: Butternut, pumpkin, baby marrows (courgettes), onion, carrots, potatoes, brocolli and cauliflower, himalayan pink salt and pepper and 2 chicken stock cubes.
Once again I will say that my Slow Cooker is the best Kitchen accessory that I own. What would I do without this wonderful piece of equipment.
The soup looks so yummy dear @pandamama
Thank you - it really was - I love vegetable soup
The vegetables are so delicious.
I know - and they come straight from the farmers
