Just a quick stop at the lake...

We do a lot of "eating in season." Right now, it's starting to be spawning season for the common carp, so they'll be joining us for dinner. Part of being a hunter-gatherer around here is taking advantage of the opportunities that the wild provides. Since I'd rather be in the wild than the city anyway, I enjoy every minute of it. I got one carp last night when I poked my head in the swamp for a minute, and I stopped by the lake quickly and grabbed a couple more this evening. I hope to hit a few more this evening, and hopefully even can some to save for later! We'll see, but they are rather large fish and a lot of fun to hunt.
