CHECK OUT THIS TINY PRAIRIE LIZARD WE JUST FOUND!

in #nature6 years ago

Not only is it small, it is incredibly fast too!

Lizards are definitely some of my favorite creatures, and having them running all around down on our land is amazing. Yesterday, while working with Monster Truck the Pepper, I found this tiny little one!

Eventually we relocated it to the garden where it can help with pest control, but not before making a video! It gets a little crazy and fun, so enjoy the show!

dang we got enough of thsese looking thinks all over FL and now that they had babies its crazy. I did see a hawk come down and eat one though which was pretty sweet lol

Oh wow! Seeing a hawk do that would be crazy!

Runs pretty fast! Monster Truck was pretty quick at catching him too! We have a lot of little lizards right now. Love having in the garden!

He's got lots of practice by now!

May be it was looking for its mommy...

Looks like baby crocodile

I can appreciate all God's creatures have a purpose in the world. Snakes, bats, worms, lizards... and so many more. But I have this underlying fear of all of the above mentioned creepy crawlers and flying critters.

Yeah, yeah... I'm a girly-girl in that sense.

And God loved us so much that he gave us snakes, bats, lizards and spiders to control the pests!

As humans we have damaged Eden due to our lack of understanding, God's ways are higher than our ways, and more subtle too.

May the Holy Spirit continue to elevate your, and all of our, understanding of the marvel of His creation. Blessings!

Then I guess I appreciate all God's creatures a little more... in the "boy who never grew up" sense.

I love lizards, I wish they lived in the UK! I remember years ago when I went to stay with my sister in Lagos, Nigeria, every morning I would check them all out hanging out on the wall in her yard.

Each morning I would see how close I could get before they all sprinted off at high speed, disappearing into every nook and cranny! As you can imagine it wasn't very close, which is what amazes me that you caught this little fella!

:-)

OK, just watched the rest of the video and that's kind of amazing that you caught her/him? again! The ones in Nigeria , when they're that small are kind of transparent and really tough to even see.

Nice catch Monster Truck! :-)

Cg

Really... There's no lizards in UK... What could be the cause, climate?

Well, yeah, I reckon :-)

Cg

That's interesting

We had a few in Wisconsin, but there are way more down here, so I like it better. Those ones in Nigeria must have been really cool! I'm so amazed at all the variety out there. Thanks for checking it out!

Those ones in Nigeria must have been really cool!

Really cool! I can't wait to go back and play with them :-) Hopefully next year. :-)))

ha! so cute, that's what our Road Runners are eating!

oh yeah! They are quick enough to catch them!

yes sir I've read that small lizards are their favorite food!

The cool thing is that if they are around Lyme disease is pretty much non existent in your area.

We're hoping that the Guinea Fowl help out with that too!

Absolutely Guineas eat ticks like candy and go on seek and destroy missions for them bastards.

I like lizards a lot too!
