EPIC DOUBLE UNBOXING - UBE, YACON, AND PURPLE SWEET POTATO
Big thanks to "BobMels Gardens" and "Sapper Gardener" for this one!
These boxes were packed with some amazing garden plants and seeds that I've been wanting to grow, and thanks to the generosity of these other YouTube channels, now I can!
In the box from BobMels Gardens were some Ube (Dioscorea alata) AKA "Purple Yam" and Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) which is a relative of the Jerusalem Artichoke which produces both perennial rhizomes and edible tubers. Also included were some Moringa and Bitter Melon seeds! Thanks so much for this amazing package!
In the Box from Sapper Gardener was the Molokai Purple Sweet Potato and a number of lettuce seeds! It looks like next year will be an amazing year beneath the soil in our garden! Thanks again!

Ube. That's a new one to me. But it probably wouldn't do well in my climate zone. Good luck.
I've never grown it, but I've certainly heard of it. We'll see how it works out!
Ube! I remember @kennyroy just brought a few small roots and planted them in our backyard in PH and then have been multiplying over the years. We let them climb up the trees, get the fruits and then dig the rootcrop later when it's big enough. Ahhh lots if purple yams! 😅

I Love purple sweet potatoes, my favourite they grow well in my Spanish homestead as does moringa - flowers of which are also edible and taste like mushrooms when cooked - it’s the miracle tree for sure!

Those are all awesome plants I remember from my days in the tropics and that we grow here (except ube). I'd love to send you some Oca when the season permits...

Always fun to read your posts! I am making Moringa capsules right now, to restock my daily herbal supply. That is a very good herbal for energy!
The other one you should consider is stinging nettle; but I wouldn't plant that in the garden, ROFLOL! It is an amazing herbal for lung health, and MANY other conditions; a superfood when cooked, and one of the best herbal tea plants there is! But plant it out and away, so the little peppers don't run into it accidentally.
