GETTING CLOSER BEFORE WE PART WAYS

Yup, Black Rat Snakes are amazing and beautiful snakes, they just seem to eat a lot of our eggs when they are around, or they kill our quail. For those reasons we often relocate them, as I have with several already this year. Today I found another one, but we wanted a closer look at it before we parted ways.
While I was waiting to get picked up for work, Monster Truck and I were hanging out. One thing lead to another and soon the snake was out of the bag, so I decided to attempt to get some nice close ups of it.
It was rather photogenic, and with my oldest son there to help keep it slow enough for a clear photo, we turned out a couple of nice ones. Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

You guys sure know how to pass the time! Looks like you had some fun. I am grateful we don't have many snakes here! But, i could handle an abundance of earth worms!
