I love seeing these creatures!
The Common Snapping Turtle is one of my favorite turtles. I grew up interacting with them, and the marvel of it never wore off. While in Mississippi I noticed this guy cruising down a flooded ditch. I had hoped it would be my first Alligator Snapping Turtle ever, but alas, it was the familiar Common Snapping turtle. One day I hope to encounter an Alligator Snapper, but for now I'll just enjoy these. Isn't it cute?

Really!? You haven't seen an alligator snapper yet? They are about the same size, huge HA HA. The alligator snappers have really long tails, and spikes on their shells. Think of them as Bowser from the Super Mario games HA HA.
