PASSION FLOWERS + POLLINATORS + TIME = PASSIONFRUIT

in #undefined6 years ago

Soon enough, but we're getting started!

Just the beautiful flowers make this plant worthwhile, but once you consider the edible fruit and the herbal and medicinal properties, these wild vines become all the more beneficial. Recently I snapped some photos of these beautiful flowers, and earlier (after the photo shoot), Monster Truck even found some fruit forming. We'll enjoy the fruit later, but for now you can enjoy the beautiful flowers.

I had a vine in my back yard last year, and the flowers are stunning! Enjoy!

If you mix passion flower, catnip, chamomile, and valerain root in equal parts by volume; you have a safe, and effective sleep aid.

Aha. I've got three of them growing now, need to get the Valerian growng... got seeds.

Plant it a ways away, doesn't smell too good, even after it us dried. But it works great!

So glad you are raising medicine as well as food! This is a gap a lot of people have. Easy to fix now, if things get hard, not so easy then. Good job!

We went to a monarch seminar yesterday. Love them! Hope to have more this year. Our host plant of choice is the Mexican variety of milkweed. Passion flower hasn't done well, but we love them.
