Paradise Garden - HYDRANGEA

in #photograph7 years ago (edited)

The Hydrangea is one of the most beautiful flowers on earth. The plant itself is native to southern and eastern Asia, as well as the America's. This particular Hydrangea plant was left for dead two years ago. I rescued it, and nursed it back to life. Now it is glorious in it's beauty and has a special place in my sentiments. :-D

One of the best trait's of the Hydrangea is that it blossoms from early spring until late autumn. The Hydrangea blossom's in flowerheads, most often at the end of stems. The flowerheads contain 2 types of flowers. One non-showy bloom in the center or interior of the flowerhead, and large, showy flowers with large colorful sepals on the outside.

The pink Hydrangea has become the most popular, especially in Asia, where they actually have different meanings. In Asia the most favored meaning for the pink Hydrangea is, "You are the beat of my heart," as described by the celebrated Asian florist Tan Jun Yong.

I have it in my garden too!
Our kind of Hydrangea turns to different colors depending on the pH of the soil where you plant it :)

Thanks so much for your post! We just bought two of these this spring to decorate our front porch for our daughter's graduation party. They have such beautiful flowers. I love the meaning that you included. I am hoping that I can keep them alive and blooming.

Thank you for your wonderful comment!!
That sounds wonderful, they are perfect for decorating for a graduation party!!
You can keep it alive, if you have trouble, ask your local florist for advice. These people love to help, and are expert at their jobs.

I will be sure to ask. They are in containers right now, but I am going to plant them in the ground this fall in hopes of having nice flowers again next year. Thanks for sharing your photos!

Your local florist can help with best practices for your transplant as well.
Enjoy your two beautiful hydrangea's!!
It's my pleasure to share the photo's!! :-D

Honestly, you should quit everything and make stories about flowers and naturehere on Steemit! This is one more that looks beautiful, and I have never seen it before :/
Amazing as always! :)

Thank you Alex, for your very kind words. I have more gardening posts coming. :-D
