PrimeGrid - Calculated RAC for CPUs
This is the ninth episode in a series of articles, where I am presenting an overview of CPUs and calculated RAC (Recent Average Credit) for whitelisted Gridcoin projects.
With this information, I hope it will become easier for team members to determine the system output running BOINC projects. The method to establish the calculated RAC is explained in the first episode, which you can find here.
This episode highlights the calculated RAC of 950 CPUs running PrimeGrid. Although there are more CPUs in the market, I have only included those for which I have gathered sufficient information based on sample set of 9,500 hosts and 2,000,000 work-units.
After completing nine projects, I have created a summary table with daily GRC earnings per CPU for all projects. Below I have added a snapshot of the summary table with 3 Intel CPUs and their earnings for the projects.
Taking the Intel i7 4770 as example (first CPU), TN-Grid provides the highest return (8.88 GRC per day) while PrimeGrid the lowest (0.70 GRC per day). In the same table you can also see that the i7-4770HQ doesn’t have a value for SRBase, which is caused by the lack of results.
The output is available in a file on Github and can be downloaded in Excel format or OpenDocument format. I will continue to update the GRC earnings so it is best to download the the latest version from Github.
