Researchers have found 50 earlier unknown huge images – geoglyphs - on the Palpa plateau in Peru. Him more 2000, report National Geographic. How have these drawings appeared there?

1. The Palpa plateau is located in several tens kilometers to the north from the Nazca plateau. New images have been found by means of the drones removing the area from height about 60 meters.

2. Researchers consider that the most part of images was made by Indians of a civilization Parakas - civilizations which endured the blossoming for several centuries B.C., much earlier, than a civilization of Indians of Nazca.

3. The first geoglyphs have found in Peru at the beginning of the 20th century. It were the huge geometrical figures and drawings representing people and animals on several tens of meters everyone. They were created by removal of a layer of earth by depth in several centimeters.

4. All on the Nazca plateau in Peru more than 700 figures and 70 drawings and also several thousands of lines and strips are known. Still researchers haven't reached agreement concerning their appointment.

5. The found drawings differ from drawings on the Nazca plateau in the fact that are made on slopes of hills. Thus, in the ancient time they were visible not only from air, but also from the settlements located on nearby plains. Besides, the majority of the found 50 drawings represented images of people, but not animals, as on the Nazca plateau.
