Japan ReLIFE Film Synopsis

The uplifting film of the anime with the same title tells the story of life, friendship and love of a man named Arata Kaizaki. He is a 27-year-old man and an unemployed person. Actually before he had a job, but because the social environment at his work was not good (a negative competition in the work), he also decided to get out. Kaizaki feels his current condition is uncomfortable, especially when he has to lie to his friend about paying and taking office.
One night, after treating his friends drink Kaizaki met a man his age. The man named Yoake Ryo works in a reLIFE lab. Ryo invites Kaizaki to be the subject of his research in reLIFE. Ryo promises reLIFE will bear the cost of his life and find a good job if Kaizaki pass in this experiment. Kaizaki seems interested in the offer because it means he does not have to live miserably like this anymore.

But he becomes unsure as soon as Ryo shows a capsule where the capsule will make young Kaizaki drink it. Obviously, Kaizaki is not sure because this does not make sense. He thinks this is just a hoax. Could a 27 year old be back at 17?
Kaizaki refused the obvious gag offer and returned to his apartment. In the morning, Kaizaki shouts in shock at his face in the mirror. Her face was as young as a high school kid. Apparently, Kaizaki accidentally drank the capsule given by Ryo last night. Just at that moment, Kaizaki arrives a guest.

"So, do you want to be a member of RELIFE?" Ryo said with a sweet smile behind the door. ***
Kaizaki looked not so sure as he entered the classroom. He was a little nervous because after all this time he returned to being a 3rd grader from high school. Nervously, he sits on an empty bench and sees some students chatting away.

Suddenly a woman named Hishiro stood in front of her and said that it was her seat. Kaizaki stood up and apologized.
Seen the position of his seat, Kaizaki shocked to see Ryo who was also in the same class with him. Ryo says that if he is in charge of the subject matter, then he should be close to Kaizaki. Kaizaki was sure to be a successful subject of experimental reLIFE. Ryo also said that it only takes a year and once Kaizaki passes then everyone who knows him now will lose his memory of Kaizaki. Kaizaki thinks he just needs to be a shadow for a year and after that he can live comfortably.
The first day of the class, Kaizaki faced the test. Yet back then, in the bag there is only cigarettes. No pencil box or stationery. Understandably, he is still not used to be a schoolgirl. Kariz who sits next to Kaizaki lends his stationery so Kaizaki can work on his first problem.

At recess, Kaizaki sees Hishiro appear to be silent in front of the cashier canteen. Kaizaki asks if anything has happened with Hishiro. Hishiro calmly says that he does not bring money and he hopes to get free food. Kaizakipun lent his money to Hishiro. Hishiro bows down, thanks him and leaves Kaizaki. Kaizaki sees Hishiro until he disappears. Ryo suddenly arrives and teases her, "Your kind of tips, huh?". Ryo's temptation makes Kaizaki a bit embarrassed.
Kaizaki then just learned from Kazuomi and Kariu if Hishiro had become a class representative where two class representatives could get free meals from school. Kaizaki also just know if Hishiro, Kariu, and also Kazuomi is the smartest person in the class and often get the prize.
Kaizaki's school came to the teacher's mother's lecture because she was caught bringing cigarettes to school. On his return he meets Hishiro. Kaizaki asks why Hishiro has not come home yet. Hishiro says that he has run out with the teacher because there are questions he does not understand. Kaizaki praised how diligent Hishiro is.
Is that boring smart girl? Ask Hishiro.
At that time Hishiro told me that he always nicknamed a boring girl in class. And therefore, he has no friends in class. That's why, Hishiro wants to change. Kaizaki advised that Hishiro should smile more as he noticed Hishiro rarely smiled.
