Review Music # Selena Gomez Releases Collaboration With Marshmello, 'Wolves'
After releasing several teasers in social media, Selena Gomez finally released a collaboration with DJ and mysterious EDM musician, Marshmello. Entitled 'Wolves', the single was released on Wednesday, October 25, and was a follow-up single for Selena after 'It Is not Me', 'Bad Liar' and 'Fetish'.
Of course 'Wolves' is an EDM track. Precise future bass combined with pop-folk. But the song written Selena and Marshmello is not just relying on the beat, sound machine or drop only, but also the side of feeling into it so it sounds more emotional. Especially when Selena sings with the lyrics, "I've been running with the wolves." Or, "I've been down to the darkest alleys / Saw the dark side of the moon / To get to you, to get to you. "
Meanwhile, following the release of 'Wolves', Selena revealed in an interview with Apple Music that this song could be one of the most personalized tracks for her. Selena also revealed that she previously did not plan to release anything in the near future and just wanted to spend time for herself.
However, after filming a movie in New York (possibly with the famous Woody Allen filmmaker), he feels it's time to re-focus on music. In fact he felt he had finished 2 albums at once. Even so he did not want to hurry and want to find the concept of the album more clearly.
